Movistar Estudiantes have announced the signing of Kaspar Treier for the 2026-27 season. The Estonian forward, born in 1999 and listed at 2.04 meters, strengthens the Spanish club’s frontcourt with a versatile profile, floor-spacing ability and the capacity to play multiple positions.
Treier knows Italian basketball very well. After developing between Estonia and Italy, he played for Montegranaro, Avellino, Ravenna, Dinamo Sassari and Napoli Basket. He spent four seasons with Sassari, also competing in European competitions, before continuing his Serie A career with Napoli.
Sporting director Íñigo de la Villa highlighted Treier’s talent, versatility and international experience, describing him as a player who fits the team Estudiantes is building. Treier is also a regular with Estonia’s national team, averaging 8.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game.
