Mouhammadou Jaiteh signs two-year deal with Virtus Segafredo Bologna

Last season the big man played in the Turkish championship, with Gaziantep: 16.1 points and 10.8 rebounds on average in 28 games played.

Virtus Segafredo Bologna S.p.A. announces that it has reached an agreement with Mouhammadou Jaiteh until 2023.

A 211cm center, Mouhammadou Jaiteh was born in Pantin on November 27, 1994.

Virtus Segafredo Bologna General Manager Paolo Ronci: “Jaiteh is a player we’ve been watching for some time. He’s 26 years old, French nationality and in the last championship in Turkey he finished with double points/rebounds, with excellent performances against top teams Fenerbache and Efes. He already possesses important qualities and we think he can further improve within our team. Virtus Segafredo welcomes Mouhammadou Jaiteh who has signed a contract until June 2023.”

He trained in France, at the Institute of INSEP until 2012, then moved to Stade Olympique Maritime Boulonnais in LNB Pro B where he won the MVP award and the Most Improved Player.
From 2013 to 2016 he wears the Nanterre’s jersey with which he wins, in 2015, the FIBA EuroChallenge and is inserted three times in the best quintet of the French championship.
In 2018 he arrives in Italy at Auxilium Torino, where he closes the season with an average of 11 points and 7 rebounds in 20 minutes of use.
The following year the move to Russia with the Avtodor Saratov’s jersey, 14 games out of 19 played in double digits of points scored.
Last season he played in the Turkish championship, with Gaziantep: 16.1 points and 10.8 rebounds on average in 28 games played.

A French national team player, Mouhammadou won the bronze medal at the 2015 European Championships.

Virtus Segafredo Bologna officially welcomes Mouhammadou Jaiteh to the big black and white family.
