Moses Wright has confirmed his move to Barcelona. The former Olympiacos center, who spent last season with Zalgiris, spoke to SPORT24 during the Stoiximan Aegean Ball Festival.
Asked about next season, Wright first joked: “Someone is spreading rumors, I don’t know who.” Then came the confirmation: “Yes, I will be in Spain.”
The American big man added: “Yes, Barcelona is a huge club. A great organization. They are building a team with great players, so I am happy to be there.”
Wright also discussed the European market, mentioning Sylvain Francisco to ASVEL, Mike James being linked to Dubai BC and Armoni Brooks joining ASVEL. But, in his view, after Tony Parker taking over the Villeurbanne bench, the biggest shock was Moustapha Fall’s move to Panathinaikos AKTOR.
He also had words for Olympiacos after their EuroLeague title: “I was happy, yes. I wish I was there, but I wish them the best. I know they did the job and I am proud of them.”
