More than 300 Maccabi Tel Aviv fans gathered outside the arena in Tel Aviv to await the arrival of Panathinaikos, creating a tense atmosphere ahead of the EuroLeague matchup.
According to local reports, the crowd directed insults primarily at Panathinaikos head coach Ergin Ataman, along with several players, forcing security personnel to intervene and escort the Greek delegation inside the venue quickly.
The incident sparked controversy before tip-off, with Panathinaikos later condemning the behavior and describing it as unacceptable in the context of a EuroLeague event.
