Monaco awaits CNOSF conciliation

AS Monaco Basket remains excluded from competing in a French professional league during the 2026-27 season. The reigning Betclic Élite champions have appealed to the CNOSF and are scheduled to attend a conciliation hearing on August 25, as per L’Equipe.

The club considers the date too late, particularly with the new season approaching.

Monaco asks to move the hearing forward

Monaco’s lawyer, Xavier Lecerf-Galle, confirmed to AFP that the club has requested an earlier hearing.

“I asked to bring the hearing forward because August 25 is a very late date.”

The conciliation will involve Monaco’s legal representative, a CNOSF sports law specialist, as well as representatives from the FFBB, the French league and the club.

Jamal Mashburn takeover plan at the center of the case

Monaco’s objective is to have its admission to the French professional championships reconsidered, with the takeover project led by former NBA player Jamal Mashburn playing a key role in the club’s case.

Earlier this week, Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho also emerged as a potential investor in a bid to help secure the club’s future.
