Monaco, appeal rejected: club considers new appeal to CNOSF

The French federation’s Appeals Chamber confirmed the exclusion from the 2026/27 Betclic Élite season. The Monegasque club is now evaluating further legal options.

AS Monaco Basket announced today that it has received the decision of the Appeals Chamber of the French Basketball Federation (FFBB), which rejected the club’s request to participate in the Betclic Élite for the 2026/27 season.

The club is now considering the possibility of appealing to the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) in order to challenge the decision and obtain authorization to take part in LNB competitions during the upcoming season.

AS Monaco Basket also expressed its sincere gratitude to the institutions of the Principality of Monaco and to everyone who continues to support the club’s restructuring process and its efforts to meet all the regulatory requirements established by the FFBB and the LNB.

The club added that further information will be communicated in due course.
