Minnesota Timberwolves ownership dispute set for mediation on May 1

The Minnesota Timberwolves ownership dispute between majority owner Glen Taylor and the group formed by Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez will be the subject of a mediation session on 1 May

The Minnesota Timberwolves ownership dispute between majority owner Glen Taylor and the group formed by Marc Lore and Alex Rodriguez will be the subject of a mediation session on 1 May in Minneapolis, ESPN reported.

The dispute arose after Taylor ended a three-year succession plan by announcing in late March that Lore and Rodriguez had missed deadlines in the terms of sale to assume majority ownership this spring.

Lore and Rodriguez are actively contesting Taylor’s claims and are pushing to reinstate the original agreement, which included an automatic 90-day extension to obtain NBA approval and majority ownership.
