Timberwolves President of Basketball Operations Gersson Rosas and 76ers General Manager Elton Brand met in Chicago during the NBA combine, as reported by journalist Dane Moore, where a Ben Simmons trade to Minnesota was discussed.

Talks of Minnesota’s interest in Simmons have been confirmed by The Athletic, and D’Angelo Russell has not been discussed as a return package as Timberwolves views him as a core part of the future
