Kevin Porter Jr. will be out indefinitely after suffering a strained oblique, Milwaukee Bucks coach Doc Rivers said ahead of Wednesday’s game vs the Oklahoma City Thunder. Rivers added Porter had been playing through it and underwent an MRI on Tuesday, with no clear timetable yet.
Porter is averaging 16.8 points on 44% shooting, but had struggled over his last four games (8.0 points on 26%) and moved to a bench role for the first time this season on Monday vs Atlanta. He also missed 19 games earlier in the year, during which Milwaukee went 7-12.
Rivers also confirmed Myles Turner will miss Wednesday with a left ankle sprain and is considered day-to-day. “It’s been that way all year for us… we’ve got to keep trying to win,” Rivers said.
