Mike James has stated that neither history nor tradition play a role in the Final Four. Not even the matches of the regular season factor into it.

About the Final Four, he said, “We are happy to be here. I’ve been in a Final Four back in 2016, but it feels like my first time. I’m trying to enjoy the moment and I’m hoping to secure two victories”.

When questioned about Monaco possibly being the favorite in the semi-final against Olympiacos because they beat them twice in the regular season, he replied, “There are no favorites in the Final Four. You simply step onto the court and play. They say it’s difficult to beat a team three times. But a semi-final is just one game and there are no favorites in such matches”.
