Mike James opened up to Eurohoops Turkiye about his summer move to Anadolu Efes after his proposed transfer to Barcelona fell through. “I was basically a Barcelona player, to be honest,” James said, explaining that he returned to the open market once the deal collapsed.
The guard also revealed that Efes’ decision took time while the club was still assessing Shane Larkin’s situation. Regarding Monaco’s financial problems, James admitted he is not following the developments closely, preferring to focus on his new team. James also reflected on representing Team USA at 35, calling the experience “super fun” and something he was very thankful to experience.
