The club confirms James is back, ready for the 2025–26 season

After weeks of speculation, AS Monaco Basket has officially reinstated Mike James. The guard suffered a minor forearm injury during the EuroLeague Final Four and was temporarily withdrawn due to an off-court incident, unrelated to his conduct as a player, requiring an internal review.

The club clarified that James was unintentionally involved while trying to protect others, and the matter is now fully resolved. Although he missed the French League playoffs, his commitment to the club never wavered.

Under contract through 2027, James will return to the court for the 2025–26 season once cleared by the medical team, remaining a cornerstone of Monaco’s long-term project.

President Aleksej Fedoricsev stated:
