Mike Brown emerges as strong candidate for Knicks job

Mike Brown has emerged as a strong candidate to become the next head coach of the New York Knicks, per ESPN.

Brown, 55, had a second meeting with Knicks management as he looks to replace Tom Thibodeau, who was fired after leading New York to its first Eastern Conference finals in 25 years.

Other candidates include Taylor Jenkins (former Grizzlies) and Micah Nori (Timberwolves assistant). The Knicks also expressed interest in James Borrego, while requests to interview Jason Kidd, Ime Udoka, and Chris Finch were declined by their teams.
