The Miami Heat are strongly interested in Klay Thompson. According to Marc Stein, Miami is eager to bring the five-time All-Star to South Beach but would prefer to sign him as a free agent.
The Dallas Mavericks, meanwhile, have not changed their stance and would prefer to trade Thompson. “Miami is desperate for Klay Thompson but they want to sign him as a free agent. They would not be the only team interested,” Stein reported.
Thompson’s future therefore remains uncertain, with Miami potentially emerging as one of the leading contenders if the veteran becomes available on the free-agent market.
