Ja Morant has entered a counseling program in Florida and is currently without a set date for his return to the NBA season, according to ESPN.
The Memphis Grizzlies star has sought help to work on stress management and his overall well-being, which has caused him to distance himself from the team and will keep him out at least through Wednesday’s game against the Miami Heat.
Morant is under investigation for displaying a firearm on Instagram on March 4.
The Grizzlies franchise has said it will continue to prioritize Morant’s needs and the player remains in contact with his teammates through the team’s messaging chat and phone calls.
