Maxima Roma signs former Denver Nuggets forward Hunter Tyson

Maxima Roma officially announced the signing of Hunter Tyson, a 6-foot-8 forward selected with the 37th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. The 26-year-old brings perimeter shooting, rebounding and positional versatility to coach Matteo Cotelli’s frontcourt.

Tyson spent three seasons with the Denver Nuggets, making 90 regular-season appearances and also gaining playoff experience. He averaged 23.8 points and 8.0 rebounds in the 2023/24 G League regular season while shooting 40.8% from three.

After being traded to the Brooklyn Nets in February 2026, Tyson played in Puerto Rico for Gigantes de Carolina-Canóvanas. Maxima Roma will open its Serie A season against Napoli Basketball on Sunday, September 27.
