Maxima Roma have announced the signing of Xavier Moon, an American guard who will play for the club during the 2026-27 season. After appointing Matteo Cotelli as head coach and extending Miro Bilan, Moon’s arrival marks another step in building the team that will compete in the domestic league and EuroCup.
Born in Goodwater, Alabama, on January 2, 1995, Moon completed his college career at Morehead State before building a professional path between the United States and Canada. He was named Canadian Elite Basketball League Player of the Year three times and led the Edmonton Stingers to the title in 2021, also earning Finals MVP honors.
Moon later played in the NBA with the Los Angeles Clippers and gained significant NBA G League experience. He joins Maxima Roma after his latest stint with Zenit Saint Petersburg in the VTB United League. “I can’t wait to make my mark in EuroCup and work with my teammates to bring many successes to the city and the club,” Moon said.
