Maxima Roma announce the signing of Aaron Shawn Holiday, who joins the club from the Houston Rockets.
A talented, athletic and reliable point guard, Holiday’s main strengths include his three-point shooting, aggressive drives to the basket and tenacious defense. A complete and modern player, he brings speed, elite scoring ability and proven leadership to the team, making him an invaluable floor general.
Born in 1996 in Ruston, Louisiana, Holiday played college basketball at prestigious UCLA, where he averaged more than 20 points and 6 assists during his junior season before making the jump to the professional ranks. Selected in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers, he went on to build a high-level career in the NBA.
Throughout his NBA career, Holiday played for the Indiana Pacers, Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns, Atlanta Hawks and, most recently, the Houston Rockets, accumulating hundreds of appearances and valuable experience in high-pressure moments. He is an excellent long-range shooter, having finished several seasons shooting above 40% from three-point range.
Considered one of the top free agents available in the United States and pursued until the last moment by several NBA teams, the American guard chose to embrace Maxima Roma’s vision and leadership, as well as the challenge of European basketball. Aaron has already begun the visa process and is expected to arrive in the Italian capital in the coming days.

With the addition of Holiday, Maxima Roma adds an NBA-caliber point guard with nine years of professional experience, capable of providing athleticism, shooting, scoring, playmaking and leadership.
