According to Superbasket, the American guard is nearing a deal with the new Rome club

Brynton Lemar could become the first signing of the new Maxima Roma era. According to Superbasket, the club led by Paul Matiasic is closing in on the 1995-born American guard.

For Lemar, it would mark a return to Italy after his stint with Pallacanestro Reggiana during the second half of the 2020-21 season. The American guard would bring European experience and perimeter scoring to Rome.

Last season, Lemar played in Turkey with Besiktas Istanbul, reaching both the EuroCup final and the Turkish league final. In 2025-26, he averaged 9.9 points and 2.4 assists per game.
