The Dallas Mavericks have decided to waive Olivier-Maxence Prosper, applying the stretch provision to distribute the remaining $3 million on his rookie contract over three seasons.
This move allows the Texas franchise to create the necessary flexibility under the second apron to re-sign Dante Exum.
The 30-year-old Australian guard is expected to have a more significant role in Jason Kidd’s rotation next season, especially with Kyrie Irving currently unavailable.
Prosper, a 23-year-old Canadian forward, was selected by Dallas with the No. 24 pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.
