The Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a trade that sends Santi Aldama and the draft rights to Tarik Biberović to Dallas.
In return, Memphis receives AJ Johnson, a 2030 first-round pick originally belonging to the Golden State Warriors (top-20 protected), and two future second-round selections.
The 25-year-old Spanish forward leaves the Grizzlies after five seasons, coming off a career-best campaign in which he averaged 14.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game.
Aldama is under contract through 2028 on a deal worth $34 million, with a team option for the final season.
Dallas’ plans regarding Biberović remain unclear, while the Grizzlies continue to accumulate future draft assets and reshape a crowded frontcourt rotation.
The Mavericks also acquire the draft rights to Tarik Biberovic, sources said. The Warriors pick in 2030 is protected 1 to 20, then turns into a second if not conveyed. https://t.co/Cp7Pu5uHhf
