Maurizio Gherardini was a guest of Eurodevotion Live yesterday. Fenerbahce GM talked about the future of Zeljko Obradovic on the bench of the Turkish team: «His words were a nice assist to our organitation. But all clubs are now trying to understand this emergency and its effects. However, the message was clear, Fenerbahce is evaluating it».
On April 22th, Zeljko Obradovic said:
«About my own situation, I would like to mention some points. I am the head coach of Fenerbahce until June 2020 and all I am doing in this current situation is with the focus on the best interest of Fenerbahce. Regarding a contract extension, I have to mention that I have not talked to no one from my club or any other club. There were no offers made to me until now. Also, I would like to highlight the fact that I have a principle in life that I would never talk to any other club while being under contract with a current club. All information where my name was related to any other club than my current is simply not the truth or let me call it fake news. Just to be clear and precise for the next season my priority would be to stay as the head coach of Fenerbahce and that is my message I want to share with the fans of Fenerbahce».
