Mathias Lessort took to X to express his frustration over the dramatic ending to the U18 Eurobasket final, which saw Spain claim the title in a stunning fashion against France.
With France up by two, Guillermo Del Pino — who scored 9 points in the final 27 seconds — knocked down the game-winning three-pointer with just over a second remaining. However, the replay shows a questionable screen by Gimenez that freed him up for the shot, sparking controversy.
Lessort didn’t hold back: “Clear offensive foul m!!! WTF at this stage of the competition and at this moment of the game that’s a crazy call to miss.”
