Nearly two weeks after the Los Angeles Lakers rescinded their trade for Mark Williams, the center’s agent, Jeff Schwartz, issued a statement contesting L.A.’s decision to fail him on his physical. Schwartz stated that Williams was ready and able to play and should have been given the opportunity.
The 7-footer returned to action against the Lakers on Wednesday, posting 10 points and 9 rebounds in Charlotte’s win. Williams told Fox Sports that he doesn’t believe his physical was the only reason the trade fell apart. Meanwhile, L.A. has moved on by signing Alex Len as an alternative at center. On Instagram, Williams posted a cryptic message: “There’s Always Peace When You Know The Truth.”
