Mario Chalmers: “Jordan is the GOAT, nobody fears LeBron”

The former Miami Heat player explained why he considers Michael Jordan superior to LeBron James, highlighting the difference between the two in the Finals and in how opponents perceived them.

Mario Chalmers has named Michael Jordan as the NBA’s GOAT, questioning the comparison with LeBron James. The former Miami Heat player pointed particularly to Jordan’s dominance throughout the 1990s and the fear he believes Jordan inspired in his opponents.

“This man was 6-0 in the Finals. He dominated the 90s basically. Yes, Bron went to nine straight Finals, but Jordan dominated a decade. There have only been three teams to win a ring in the 90s. You go to Bron’s era, there have been four or five.”

Chalmers then added: “Why isn’t LeBron being compared to Pippen? Nobody fears Bron. Nobody is like, ‘Damn, I gotta go play against Bron tonight.’ Nobody said that. I’ve seen people be scared when they actually line up against him, but they’re not scared thinking about that matchup.”
