Marcus Smart, Celtics agree to 4-year, $77.1M max contract extension

Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart has agreed to a four-year, $77.1 million contract extension, reports The Athletic’s Shams Charania

The deal is for the maximum amount Smart could sign for on an extension but less than he could have had he waited until free agency. Deal begins for the 2022-23 season and also includes a trade kicker. It does not include a player option.
