At a Los Angeles event, Magic Johnson reaffirmed his pick for the greatest ever: Michael Jordan. “We’ve never seen anyone do what he could do, physically gifted and so smart,” he said.

Johnson ranked LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar right after Jordan, also naming Bill Russell as undeniable with his 11 NBA championships.

He recalled Jordan’s iconic 1991 Finals layup against the Lakers, calling it “the greatest shot I’ve ever seen,” and also mentioned Dr. J’s famous play in the 1980 Finals as another timeless NBA highlight.
