Following the high-profile signing of Lonnie Walker IV, Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly closing in on two more significant additions to its backcourt: point guard Jeff Dowtin Jr. and shooting guard Uros Trifunovic, according to Moshe Barda.
For Dowtin Jr., who appeared in 53 NBA games with the Philadelphia 76ers over the past two seasons, this will be his first experience playing in Europe.
Trifunovic, a 24-year-old Serbian swingman, joins after a solid season with Tofas Bursa, where he averaged 10.8 points and 1.7 assists per game while shooting 41% from three-point range across both the Turkish BSL and FIBA Europe Cup.
Maccabi GM Claudio Coldebella is also actively pursuing a center, with several Israeli outlets linking the club to highly sought-after big man Charles Bassey.
