Maccabi Tel Aviv’s non-Israeli players took a strong stance.
At the end of Thursday night’s match against Red Star (92-98 the final), the team’s foreign players demanded a meeting with the management.
From the confrontation arose the players’ decision not to return with the rest of the team to Israel, where Maccabi is expected to play two close league matches: on 23 December against Hapoel Haifa and on the 25th against Beer Sheva.
