Maccabi Tel Aviv released an official update outlining the team’s plan in the coming days, in light of rising tensions in the Middle East and the current national-team window.
The statement notes that after the game against Monaco, five players joined their national teams: Roman Sorkin, Tamir Blatt and Gur Lavi with Israel, Marcio Santos with Brazil and Jaylen Hoard with France. The rest of the roster was granted leave through today.
Maccabi added the team “will regroup in Belgrade to continue training” and will wait for an official EuroLeague decision regarding Thursday’s derby, promising: “As soon as there is an official update… we will announce it”.
