According to Yakov Meir, Xavi Pascual is an important candidate for the position of new head-coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv, and the Israeli team will contact him should he decide to leave Zenith.
Pascual signed a rich three-year deal with Zenith last summer, but the current situation in Russia could push him to consider other solutions.
The reporter adds that also Andrea Trinchieri is on Maccabi Tel Aviv’s notebook, and would become the favorite for the bench should Pascual decide to stay with Zenit.
The Italian coach is under contract with Bayern Munich until 2023.
