Daniel Theis’ future at Maccabi Tel Aviv is reportedly already under discussion. According to Walla Sport, the Israeli club is exploring a potential transfer if another team is willing to take on his contract.
Theis arrived during the summer as one of Maccabi’s marquee additions, reportedly signing a two-year deal worth around $4.5 million in total. His impact, however, has been limited so far, averaging 7.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2 assists in 18.1 minutes over seven EuroLeague appearances.
Maccabi is now reportedly assessing whether there is a market for an exit. The main obstacle is financial, with some reports placing Theis’ salary at around $2.2 million net per season, making him the highest-paid player on the roster.
