Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv have announced a three-year contract extension for Gabriel “Iffe” Lundberg. The 31-year-old Danish guard will remain with the club after a standout season that ended with a domestic double and the Finals MVP award.
Lundberg averaged 11 points and 3.6 assists in EuroLeague last season, becoming one of Oded Kattash’s leaders on and off the court. He raised his level during the Israeli league playoffs, averaging 17.5 points and 4 assists per game in the Finals series.
“I am more than excited to continue this journey with Maccabi,” Lundberg said. Kattash also praised the move: “He is a leader with a lot of experience, who connected very well with the staff and the team.” For Maccabi, the extension is another major step in keeping roster continuity.
