Maccabi Tel Aviv starts the EuroLeague season with a win over Alba Berlin. After trailing by 10 in the first quarter, the Israeli team came back and secured an 80-73 win.
Angelo Caloiaro scored 18 points for Maccabi. Chris Jones added 12 points and seven assists in his EuroLeague debut. Othello Hunter also scored 12 points and grabbed six boards.
Markus Eriksson had 18 points for Alba. Simone Fontecchio made a strong impact off the bench in his debut with the German team and posted 16 points and eight rebounds in just 20 minutes.
