After a full first week of Lakers camp, Luka Doncic explained the reason behind his reduced workload heading into the preseason stretch.
“I played one month with the national team. It’s a long season ahead, so it’s just about managing that,” Doncic said, emphasizing rest and recovery before the regular season.
On LeBron James’ absence due to sciatica, Doncic added: “It’s a big change. He’s a great player, but our mentality needs to be next man up.”
