Luka Doncic leaves Mavs’ signature win with apparent left ankle injury

Dallas' superstar suffered the injury with 44 seconds remaining after contesting a driving layup by Austin Rivers, who fell onto Doncic's leg

Mavericks star Luka Doncic limped off the court after appearing to turn his left ankle in the final minute of Monday’s 111-101 victory over the Denver Nuggets.

With 44 seconds remaining in the game, Nuggets guard Austin Rivers fell into his leg from behind after Rivers tried to block his layup attempt.

Doncic, who has a history of ankle injuries, immediately hobbled to a courtside seat, sitting down and grabbing his left ankle, before limping to the locker room.

But Mavs coach Jason Kidd did not offer a diagnosis after the game.

“Luka walked off on his own power,” Kidd said. I think he got rolled up on on his lower left leg, so we’ll see how he feels tomorrow.”
