Luka Doncic, who recently returned from a thigh injury, stated that the Dallas Mavericks need to fight hard and play harder to improve. Doncic, who had 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists in his second game back, acknowledged that he needs to lead the team and improve his own performance. He was fined $35,000 by the NBA for making a money sign gesture towards referees during a previous game against the Golden State Warriors.
Doncic also expressed frustration with his recent play and noted that there are personal issues affecting him.
«We got to fight hard, play harder. That’s about it. We got to show we care and it starts with me first. I’ve just got to lead this team, being better, playing harder. It’s on me».
«I think you can see it with me on the court. Sometimes I don’t feel it’s me. I’m just being out there. I used to have really fun, smiling on court, but it’s just been so frustrating for a lot of reasons, not just basketball».
