Doncic Joins Investor Group Behind Ambitious Italian Basketball Project in Rome
Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic, one of the biggest names in global basketball, announced on Instagram his involvement in a project aimed at bringing top-level basketball back to the Italian capital.
“Basketball is coming back to Rome,” Doncic wrote.
The Slovenian superstar is part of an investor group led by former Dallas Mavericks general manager Donnie Nelson, which has acquired the sporting rights of Vanoli Cremona.

The 36-year-old point guard is close to signing a one-year contract with Sasha Obradović’s team, which could have an option to terminate the deal after a few months
