Luka Doncic will be available for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Detroit Pistons after the NBA rescinded his 16th technical foul of the season, the one that would have triggered an automatic one-game suspension. The call had come in the win over Orlando after a double technical involving Goga Bitadze.
After the game, Doncic said he hoped the technical would be overturned. The Lakers then filed an appeal, and the league accepted it, allowing the Slovenian star to avoid a suspension.
It is a major development for the Lakers as well, considering Doncic had also been a key figure in the win over the Magic, finishing with 33 points and 8 assists. With the rescission, his technical count drops back below the suspension threshold.
