Božić heads to China
Luka Božić is officially a new player for the Guangdong Southern Tigers. The Chinese club announced an agreement with the Croatian forward, who will now complete the registration process with the CBA before being cleared to play.
Božić, born in 1996, is coming off an impressive season with Granada in Liga Endesa, averaging 16.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists over 34 games.
A new chapter for the two-time ABA League MVP
The move represents Božić’s first experience in Asia after spending his career primarily in European basketball.
He made his biggest impact with Zadar, winning the ABA League regular-season MVP award twice. He has also played for Bjelovar, Pula, Zagreb, Budućnost, Široki, Lleida and Granada.
Despite Granada’s relegation, Božić was one of the standout players in Liga Endesa last season and finished among the league’s most productive performers.
He will now begin a new chapter in China with the Guangdong Southern Tigers.
