Following the decision to relieve Peppe Poeta of his duties as head coach, Olimpia Milano would be looking for a new leader on the sidelines. According to Alessandro Maggi, among the names reportedly back in the picture for the position is Luca Banchi, the current head coach of the Italian national team.
The Tuscan coach could represent one of the options being considered by the Milanese club as it prepares for a change on the bench.
For now, Banchi’s name should therefore be treated as a rumor. The coming hours could provide a clearer picture of Olimpia’s intentions and the club’s plans for appointing its next head coach.
UPDATE
Luca Banchi and Olimpia Milano have reached an agreement. According to ANSA, the two parties have agreed to terms and are expected to sign the contract in the coming hours, officially marking the beginning of a new chapter for the current Italian national team head coach with the Milanese club.
