The Los Angeles Lakers announced that Luka Doncic will not play Thursday against the Dallas Mavericks, his former team, missing his fourth straight game with a hamstring strain. According to ESPN, Doncic is making progress in his rehab and hopes to at least appear in Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game for the World Team.
Doncic, 26, was selected to the All-Star Game for the sixth time in his eight-year NBA career and, for the first time, finished as the leading vote-getter, surpassing 3 million ballots. Since being traded to the Lakers last season, he is 4-0 against Dallas.
Doncic has missed 11 games this season, with Los Angeles going 5-6 without him.
