Los Angeles Lakers extend JJ Redick’s contract into second season

GM Rob Pelinka confirmed that JJ Redick has received a contract extension as he enters his second year as Los Angeles Lakers head coach.

Redick downplayed the importance of fixed lineups: “We have seven or eight starter-level players, it’s not that important who starts.” On LeBron, Pelinka added: “We’d love for his story to end as a Laker, but it’s his decision.”

The coach also praised the new Doncic–Ayton duo and Luka’s fitness, noting his “high excitement level” to maintain his new physical standard.
