Guard Tarik Phillip will stay with the London Lions for another season, the team announced on Friday. In the preseason, Phillip (1.90 meters, 29 years old) sustained a knee injury that prevented him from playing in the 2022–23 EuroCup. For the final seven games of the British League, he rejoined the squad and contributed 6.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists to the Lions’ championship victory.
In addition to making his EuroCup debut with Tofas Bursa in 2019–20, Phillip also participated in the first half of the 2021–22 campaign with Umana Reyer Venice. He has averaged 9.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.3 steals over the course of his 25 EuroCup appearances.
