Legabasket president Umberto Gandini said that next Serie A will have even number of teams.
This season Serie A has been played by 17 teams.
Gandini spoke with Basket City’, on TRC.
“The actual situation blocks the relegations in Serie A2 and all the 17 teams will have the rights to play in Serie A next season. At the same time I can say that I will do my best to have an ever number of participating teams. The odd number is bad for the competition because one team per week has to rest. If the 17 teams will be able to participate in the next season, we will evaluate with LNP how to add a team to reach quota 18”.
