LeBron responds to Ibrahimovic criticism

LeBron said he would never stop talking about what he thinks is wrong

According to Telecomasia.net, NBA Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James responded to criticism of AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic by insinuating that the Swede is a hypocrite.

Recall that the Swedish forward recently criticized the American basketball player for being too immersed in politics and recommended that he spend more time on sports, which is his main activity.

LeBron said he would never stop talking about what he thinks is wrong. The basketball player said he stands for equality, social justice and is against racism.

James said that the criticism from Zlatan sounded rather comical, because in 2018 in Sweden, the striker repeatedly made statements on the same topics as LeBron. Ibrahimovic mentioned that he was faced with racism because of his last name, and such performances did not prevent him from playing soccer at a high level.

Zlatan’s response to LeBron’s words was also immediate. He stated that politics and the fight against racism have nothing in common. Also, athletes and sports, according to the Swede, unite the world, while politics contributes to its split.

It is unknown how the great athletes’ verbal altercation ended, but one thing is certain. Even though Ibrahimovic does not share James’ position on politics, he respects him as an athlete. When he moved from Cleveland to the Lakers in 2018, the Swede wrote on his Twitter account that there was a king in Los Angeles with LeBron’s arrival.

James, now 36, was selected in the 2003 NBA Draft as No. 1 by Cleveland. It was in this team that the American began his career. In total, James became the NBA champion four times, in 2012 and 2013 with Miami, in 2016 with Cleveland and in 2020 with the Lakers.

In the current regular season of the NBA, the basketball player has 34 games. He is averaging 25.7 points per game and also has 8.1 rebounds.

The 39-year-old Zlatan has 20 appearances in all competitions for Milan this season, 16 goals scored and two assists. His contract with the club is valid until the summer of 2021. Ibrahimovic during his career managed to become the champion of the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and France several times, as well as the winner of the Europa League and the World Club Cup.
