After several days training with the South Bay Lakers, LeBron James has been reassigned to the Los Angeles Lakers and will fully participate in Monday’s practice, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania. The 40-year-old superstar is close to returning after missing training camp and the first month of the season due to sciatica.
James reportedly experienced no lingering pain during his G League workouts, where he impressed observers by looking “great and motivated.” The Lakers (10-4) currently sit fourth in the West and hope to have him back Tuesday vs. Utah.
Once he takes the floor, James will become the first player in NBA history to play 23 seasons. Meanwhile, his son Bronny James earned his second career start in Saturday’s 119-95 win over Milwaukee — a moment Austin Reaves called “awesome.”
