Umberto Gandini, the new president of the Italian LBA (Serie A), held a conference call with the national media to speak on the future of the currently-suspended season.
“Our goal is to resume the season at some point,” Gandini said. “But the priority is to protect our players’health, so we will resume the season only if there’s no risk. If the season is canceled, our decisions will be based on the standings of the first leg.”
Gandini also confirmed that if it is impossible to resume practices by May 16th, the season will be canceled.
