The Charlotte Hornets are seriously engaged in trade talks involving LaMelo Ball.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, multiple teams are aggressively pursuing the star point guard, while Charlotte is fielding offers. If the Hornets’ terms are met, a potential deal could develop within the next 24 to 48 hours.
Ball has three years left on his contract and will be eligible to sign a two-year, $119.2 million extension on July 6. Last season, he averaged 20.1 points, 7.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 72 games, helping Charlotte jump from 19 to 44 wins.
