Lakers to retire Pau Gasol jersey on March 7

Los Angeles will homage Spanish legend, retiring his #16 jersey, on the day they will host Memphis Grizzlies

Lakers Legend Pau Gasol will have his no. 16 jersey retired on March 7, 2023, as the team hosts the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Spaniard suited up for the Lakers in seven seasons (2008-14) and helped lead Los Angeles to back-to-back championships in 2009 and 2010. He earned three of his six career NBA All-Star honors while with the Lakers (2009-11) and was named to the All-NBA Second Team in 2011 and to the All-NBA Third Team in 2009 and 2010 with the purple and gold.
